Dual purpose use of assets – Asset Based LTC

 

We simply reallocate assets your client currently has and convert them into a similar asset with the same purpose, plus an additional benefit without significantly altering the client’s original purpose.  If the client was earning a fixed return, we can give them a fixed return.  If they were indexed to a market, we can do that.

 

 

The case for Single Premium Whole Life with an LTC Accelerator:

 

  • Rose is a 77 year old, female client with $125,000.
  • Rose is Currently earning .60% in a money market account.
  • Rose Doesn't need income from this account.
  • Goal is to pass these funds to heirs or use in case of a healthcare emergency.

 

Rose is concerned about dropping interest rates but doesn't want to tie her money up in something that will have large surrender charges.  She is very concerned about the high cost of long term nursing care but doesn't want to pay the high premium costs of traditional long term care insurance.  She has stressed to you her desire to stay at home for as long as she can if she is ever in need of long term medical care. 

 

Let's look at Rose's current situation:

 

  1. Rose passes away - she will have $125,000 to pass to her heirs
  2. Rose needs money for a nursing home stay - she will have $125,000 to access.
  3. Rose needs money for an "at-home" nursing home stay - she will have $125,000.
  4. Rose has an emergency - she will have $125,000.
  5. This year Rose will make approximately $750.00 in interest (.60%)
